2019 was a very hard year for me due to the loss of my father and my favourite uncle in a space of four moths. Throughout that time, when there were questions, feelings and emotions in my mind, I turned to my painting in order to put into context  all those elements where light colours and layers make sense once the work was complete. 

Like all my works, the idea of negativity or darkness is discarded from the beginning, as I do not see the need of including those factors when trying to simply depict my state of mind at any given time and knowing that there are plenty of positive things in one's life at most times, and that by taking time to look around at the world around us there are people that have nothing. I hope that this special purchase will bring context and positivity to the viewer.
